Rocked my short run with the fastest pace for me since February’s Love ‘Em or Leave ‘Em 5k. And then when I checked the mail – my RnR Tour Pass had arrived! Not sure what I was thinking when I dove right in and bought that (3 half’s in 2014 for the price of 2), but it might have been some post half marathon euphoria. Or wine. Don’t remember, so I’m just going to be excited!
Half Marathon number two is Sunday and that’s when I’m committing to myself to get back on the blog roller after using the foam roller. I want to write. I think about it when I run, when I’m at work, making dinner. By the time I can do it though, I don’t. Clearly, that shit’s gotta stop.
Today I headed to my favorite chiropractor, Dr Perona (here), for an adjustment, and some of that foam rolling I crave so much (shoulder this time – mine are seriously tight right now). After dinner (tacos al carbon + sangria = happy meal), I even headed home to get hooked up to our zapper. Ok, so I don’t really know what it’s called, but it’s got electrodes and a remote and it attacks my tense muscles in a great way. awesome.
Tomorrow is a 6hr (round trip) drive to Wenatchee for Red’s track meet. She has one event – the 1600. That should take about 6.3 minutes and then we will head back so she can head to the school dance. I’m wearing running gear in case I can sneak off and get in a super easy 2 miles just to shake out my legs after driving. If not, I may try once I get home – except I will also be ‘racing’ back and hopefully making it to packet pick up before it closes at 4pm. Real world problems.
If I don’t make it back tomorrow, I WILL be back after Sunday’s run! It’s the Mercer Island Half, and it benefits colon cancer research. My mom had that. Get your rear in gear and get checked!
